Frost, the youngest incoming member of US Congress, is speaking out about the difficulties the younger generations are facing after his application for housing was denied and his application fee was lost.

"Just applied to an apartment in DC where I told the guy that my credit was really bad", said Frost in a tweet. "He said I’d be fine. Got denied, lost the apartment, and the application fee. This ain’t meant for people who don’t already have money".

Frost claims his bad credit is due to the bills he ran up during his run for Congress itself, citing that his profits from Uber did not get him enough money to pay for his living.

Frost continued on saying that in order to win the "difficult" race, he had to quit his full time job to be a full time candidate, working seven days a week with 10-12 hour days. He acknowledged that the process was not sustainable, but that they "had to" do it in order to have a successful campaign.

"As a candidate, you can’t give yourself a stipend or anything till the very end of your campaign", Frost elaborated. "So most of the run, you have no $ coming in unless you work a second job".

Several other members of Congress came forward, showing their support or shedding light on their own experiences. Frost continued to receive backlash however from those who claimed that people should not elect those with bad credit, and responded by stating that many of those talking about his bad credit voted for Donald Trump, a man who had several companies go bankrupt.

"We have to do better for the whole country", Frost continued.
